Red Bull King of the Air, the worlds most exciting kiteboarding event once again successfully finished this season. With the best forecast in the beginning of the waiting period Sergio Cantagalli made the call to start the event on the first Saturday and with increasing wind and waves the action improved throughout the day. It was challenging for all riders to give their best and big surprises and well known riders from last year had to battle in round 2 and give their best for not being knocked out.
On day two everything just came together. With big names, rookies and innovative tricks every heat was full of energy. During the final heat Dutchman Kevin Langeree, who was injured last year just before the event started, was too strong for the Spanish young-gun Liam Whaley and Lewis Crathern and won his second King of the Air title.
