Nazaré, Portugal is known for its massive waves that arrive during the winter months. These waves can reach heights of up to 100 feet and are some of the biggest in the world. Riding these waves requires a high level of dedication and expertise, as they can be extremely dangerous and unpredictable. Surfing Nazaré's big waves requires specialized equipment and training, as well as a deep understanding of the ocean and its currents. Only a small number of experienced surfers are able to successfully ride these massive waves, making it a truly impressive feat.

Jesse Richman is known as an adrenaline junky facing the biggest waves on Hawaii, at his home spots. He decided to travel all the way to Portugal as soon as the forecast was looking good. Now he can call himself amongst one of the few Kitesurfer that concerned the big monsters of Nazaré.

  • Limited edition photographs are limited to a specific number of prints, with each print individually numbered and signed by me. They are only available in given sizes. The bigger the size, the fewer copies are available. If the largest size is not sufficient for your needs, I also offer Artist Editions which can exceed the maximum size limit. Usually, I only release two Artist Editions for each photograph. For the Artist Edition pricing and printing options are available upon request. Once the editions are sold out, no more prints will be made, making them a more exclusive and valuable investment for collectors.

Open editions have no set limit on the number of copies that can be produced. They will be shipped directly from the printer, without the option of personal signing. It is possible that open editions may become limited over time, and limited edition prints may increase in value over time.

  • For fine art prints, we use the highest quality paper and ink. Hahnemühle Fine Art paper is one of the best papers for colour and black and white photos with beautiful contrast and details. And because they are printed with archival ink, they will last for over 40 years without fading.

I believe artwork needs to be in a frame. Prints come with a white border to make it easier for you to frame and prevent the edges from damaging. You can frame the print yourself, but we advise you to go to your local framer to get it done professionally.

I'm more than happy to give you advice on framing or even have it framed for you. Because there are many options available, all depending on the style you prefer and the space you will hang the photo, please send an email to info@ydwer.com.

  • Some prints are also available in a modern ‘ready to hang’ edition.

Dibond: The photo is printed on high-quality fine art paper and glued to a board (Dibond). A hanging mechanism on the back makes it easy to hang right out of the box. It creates a beautiful piece of art in a modern style used frequently in art galleries.

Finishing it off with Acrylic Glass makes it very special. The colours will pop even more, standing out in your modern-styled interior. It’s a nice high-end finish but can be tricky with many light sources and windows. Therefore the glass is also available in a matte option to eliminate glare.

Both options can be combined with a frame as well.

Please send an email to info@ydwer.com if you’d like to know more.

  • Photos are printed in certain sizes and have fixed dimension to have the frame presented in the best way possible and the way I intend to show the subject.

Not every space and budget is the same. Therefore I have a wide range of sizes available. Photo sizes are excluding white border.

    Small 30 x 20 cm
    Medium 45 x 30 cm
    Large 60 x 40 cm
    Extra Large 75 x 50
    Giant 90 x 60 cm
    Collector 105 x 70 cm
    Artist Edition Open Size

There are basically 3 different aspect ratios unless the description will have a different size. You’ll find 3:2, 2:1 and 1:1 ratios.

  • We like to ship prints worldwide, no matter what tropical island you live on. Note that transport is expensive, especially with bigger or heavier items. If your country isn’t listed, please contact me. We’ll do our best to get the print to you for the best price possible.

  • All prints are made to order and non-refundable. Once we start printing the artwork, there’s no way back. We have a 24h cancellation policy.

However, if your print arrives damaged, make sure to take photos of the damaged print and damaged packaging so we can claim it from the carrier. Also, make sure to report this to the carrier. In this case, we are happy to replace your print. We either ask you to send it back (shipping at your own cost) or proof of destructing the print.
